A note from AVPro Global CEO:
Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, sports are back, at least on TV. As an Audio/Video enthusiast, that works just fine for me. The latest receivers from cable and satellite companies have greatly improved in the last few years. 4K is no problem, and now it's just up to the integrator to install a pipeline that can handle this higher bandwidth signal. AVPro Edge is here to help distribute, and Murideo is here to help test that distribution path. We hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and make sure you check out the HDMI & USB extension write up and 'don't have a cow man!' -Jeff Murray

The AOC Advantage

What a lot of people don't know is that HDMI comes with length restrictions. It's easy to send an HDMI signal a few feet, but how do you go 100 feet? HDMI cables can be very unreliable at that length, there just isn't a way to send that type of high bandwidth signal over copper wires at that distance. The solution is to send those same signals, not over copper wiring, but over fiber optics. Read on...

Product Spotlight: The Fresco 1x16 Large Scale D.A.

The Fresco large-scale distribution amplifier was engineered to repeat and amplify any HDMI signal you can throw at it. We understand that many installations are running non-stop, 24/7-365. Our engineers took measures to ensure any signal running through the AC-FRESCO-DA116 will be stable over long periods of time – our 10-year warranty proves that. Read on...

Using 4K and KVM in Classrooms

Smartboards allow teachers or students to connect laptops or PCs and offer control over the computer. They do this by sharing not only an audio-video connection through HDMI but also a control mechanic through USB. AVPro Edge can do just that; send a full 4K60 (4:4:4) HDMI signal from the computer to the interactive display, at the same time sending a USB signal from the interactive display back to the computer. Test Your HDMI Cables BEFORE Installation

A non-functioning HDMI cable can truly shut down an entire video distribution system, the last thing you need when timeframes are tight, and the pressure to finish is on. Be prepared for your installation by testing your cables before they leave the shop. Time is money when you are on location, don’t waste it by installing cables that will give you problems down the road. Read on...
