ID12 + ICP Series

Integration Designer 12 Features

Ethernet devices now program in parallel instead of waiting in line. A send that used to run panel by panel takes roughly as long as the slowest single device. Every device reports its own progress, and one failure no longer stops the rest of the building.

Send to every device at once

Name a restore point, note what you're about to try, and return the project to that state if it doesn't work out. Undo now survives saving and sending, even after you've pushed a change to live hardware.

Session Snapshots

Build conditional behaviour visually from variables, operators and combiners — occupancy, scheduling, lockouts, source interlocks. Equations reference each other, with ID12 working out evaluation order, compile and run on the processor itself.

Logic Equation Editor

Wait for a variable or power sensor before continuing, or retry a command until it confirms. Loop while a condition holds, with attempt limits to avoid a stuck projector, and set timeouts for missing feedback.

Programming that handles the real world

A 200-device site stays navigable. Organise drivers, sources, controllers and areas into folders — pickers follow that structure. Search takes several words in any order, and Find & Replace runs project-wide. The Shared Layer Manager shows every shared layer at once, flags duplicates, then merges, renames and cleans them.

Built for large-scale deployments

One area no longer waits on another. Each area gets its own command queue inside the ICP. A lighting scene in Conference Room A runs at the same time as a display routine in Conference Room B. On a busy floor, that is the difference between a system that feels instant and one that feels queued.

SVG support keeps artwork sharp at every panel size, and ID12 preserves the vector through resizes, conversions and template changes. Group buttons and scale them together, save a layout as a Button Cluster — drop it into the next job and it rescales and re-programs against project tags.

Vector graphics and reusable layouts

Pick the real device from a searchable, cloud-updated catalogue of phones and tablets, and the design surface opens at that model's true screen size. Safe zones draw the notch, camera cutout, home indicator and Dynamic Island right on the canvas, and warn you before a button ends up underneath one.

Over 100 Device Templates

RTiPanel Desktop replaces Virtual Panel. A standalone Windows client that runs your real interface on a PC — reception desk, security office, control room — over the local network or the cloud. The client machine does not need Integration Designer installed, and one installation can switch between multiple systems.

Watch devices and network conditions from the ICP itself and get alerted when something stops responding. Tie a monitored condition to an automated response, so the system can reboot the unresponsive device before anyone in the building reaches for a phone.

RTiQ monitoring runs on the processor

Bring a new programmer up to speed. Guided tours walk a new hire through building their first system, with expanded tooltips and a keyboard-shortcut reference inside the software. Your senior tech stays on the job site instead of sitting next to them.

Before you convert an existing project
ID12 installs next to ID11 rather than replacing it, so nothing you have in the field is at risk. Open an .apex file in ID12 and it converts, and you choose whether to keep the XP processor as an expansion device or replace it with an ICP. The conversion runs one way, so keep the original .apex file if you still need it in ID11. A handful of older RTI devices are not carried forward — ID12 lists them before you commit, so you can decide which projects move and which stay where they are.
