Overview
Key Features
Single Point of Management - The CBOX-HA supports auto-discovery, management, routing and maintenance of all MXnet USP, 1G, & 10G endpoints. The CBOX-HA provides a single point of log on to control every MXnet device on the network, including MXnet network switches.
Mentor User Interface - Mentor is a web-hosted interface on the CBOX-HA that provides an intuitive management experience. Mentor provides detailed diagnostics, signal routing, live video previews and advanced configurations such as creating video walls or multiview layouts. When paired with MXnet switches you’ll get advanced diagnostics and the ability to configure VLANs and network port settings directly from Mentor.
Isolated AV and Control LAN Connections - The CBOX-HA provides a bridge between AV networks and enterprise/control networks. The isolated LAN connections allow you to simplify network topologies and isolate multicast AV traffic, especially in applications where adding AV devices to existing IT networks isn’t permitted. An additional 6 LAN ports are available to connect to MXnet switches for management or 3rd-party control devices.
High Availability Architecture - Connect two CBOX-HA’s together either over the network or through the HA RS-232 port to add redundancy to your MXnet system. High Availability ensure users avoid downtime, which is especially crucial for mission critical applications. If the primary CBOX-HA were to fail, the secondary CBOX-HA will automatically take over and provide a seamless switch.
Open API - While pre-built control drivers are available for most major manufacturers, MXnet features an open API. This allows you to fully leverage all aspects of MXnet, whether you’re testing for specific functionality or writing custom control drivers.
Multi-Protocol Controller Mode - The CBOX-HA can automatically discover and control USP, 1G, 10G, and Dante-enabled devices directly from the control system, eliminating the need for a separate PC or Mac. By switching to the corresponding protocol mode, the CBOX-HA enables seamless discovery and management of both MXNet and Dante networks through a single device. Note: Each mode is exclusive to its respective protocol. When a specific mode is enabled, only devices of that type are supported.
Description
The AC-MXNET-CBOX-HA is the centralized management device for every MXnet AV over IP system. The CBOX-HA interfaces between MXnet encoders/decoders and 3rd-party control systems. It also hosts the powerful Mentor web interface for auto-discovery, configuration, routing and maintenance of endpoints. The CBOX-HA provides a single point of management making it incredibly simple to deploy hundreds of endpoints in a matter of minutes.
The Mentor web interface provides an intuitive ‘point-and-click’ experience. Easily give endpoints custom names, adjust IP addresses, route AV, setup video walls and multiview layouts or test API commands via the built in CLI. Mentor is a simple yet powerful management interface built for today’s modern AV systems.
The front panel of the CBOX-HA includes two display screens for quick access to key information including IP & MAC addresses, installed firmware version and the amount of discovered encoders and decoders.
Drivers are available for most major control system manufacturers. These drivers make integration a breeze and provide control over all aspects of MXnet endpoints.
Available on the Drivers tab: Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Control4, Savant, RTI, ELAN, URC, and AMX.
